Mid March?? I hope your being facetious.

PS, what snorkel are you running on your 05 Runner?

They will ship it Tuesday, as Monday is Long Weekend. 2 weeks shipping from Tuesday coming to March 8, which is about mid-March.

Snorkel is SS135HF from '97 Hilux 2.7L

I just installed the CMKA12 on my Jeep yesterday. I was surprised how loud it was and the vibration it sent through the Jeep. Is this typical?

Thanks

They are moderate loud (not too much, but not quiet as well, under the hood they are not noticeable that much) and if do a bolt-on with rubber shims, then vibrations are close to none.

:sombrero: Heh Heh, I use mine for tires/tents/air mattress's/innertubes/Duck floats/ tire bead resets--

I would never waste money on a Harbor Freight $50 buck compressor, although I've bought a lot of heavy duty support equip from them !!

Vibration and noise are no problemo mounted under the hood !!

Mine is bolted down with some rubber spacers between it and the wheel well. Although it is not very quiet the vibration is slight.

Gotcha, very familiar with the SS135 but I know some 4Runner owners have used the SS170 on their 4th gens. Thanks for the reply.

Could you post more detail pictures of your installation?

I got both 135 and 170 test fitted them and found that 135 is a better fit.
Thanks to Sierra Expeditions in General and Wil/Wendy in particular for the help. One of the best place to get parts from.

:sombrero: Nope, that pic is from about 2 yrs ago and the electrical hookup is thru the sPOD sys --

The compressor mount is on the Brake Master cyl mounting bolts and is very simple/easy-google --ARB Compressor mount--and you'll get all the details and parts required-it has nothing to do with lockers, it's a bigger compressor

Good luck

I concur, I've sent out dozens and dozens of them for fitment on 2nd gen Taco's and 4th gen Runners. In fact it was just a few weeks ago I became aware the SS170 had been used on a 4th gen 4Runner. Fit looked clean but having not seen one up close and having seen many SS135's in person I'll continue recommending the SS135.

They are great people!

My ARB compressor worked a treat in my 4runner before I sold it. In the one year I had it installed I aired um my truck and one other at least 20-30 times and lots of air locker action too. I have always felt very comfortable sending my money to ARB, there after-sale service is next to none.
