To get it into the states wasn't complicated at all. I called a registered importer. Paid her $300 and she has a boiler plate document used for importing rigs. There is a list of conforming and non-conforming rigs. The BJ70 is a conforming non usa vehicle. Thus it can be imported. I will see...

For the price you can get a much better equipped overland vehicle. Defender 110 comes to mind.

Start looking in South America and the Middle East. My lhd came from Panama. Never came with a heater or dash pad. There isn't a hole cut in the firewall where the heater should go. If I ever come across a lhd I will let you know.
