Who is selling these, kits I suppose? They make up their own harnesses to convert to the 3wire hookup?

    Cruiser Therapy: LaOutbackTrail's FJ62 Landcruiser

I like the 4.7 in my tundra and would have loved it in my 62. But mucho dinero! When I picked up my cruiser after the vortec swap at iron pig in VA, there was a Lexus 4.7 mated to an H55. It was one of those double-take moments: was walking thru the shop to my truck, stopped, and backed up 10...

Looking good! Make sure you get a Toyota gasket for the oil pan. Don't need Oem on everything, but oil pan gasket, head gasket, and tune up are a must. You'll be sad if you don't.

    Haiti 2012: Port-Au-Prince and Leogone

x1000! Took a trip up to the northwest once from PaP. Past St Marc, the "roads" we took were 1) the beach, 2) a dry creek bed, and 3) a mountain road that equalled the camino de la muerte in Bolivia. That one wasn't famous because no one counts dead Haitians :-/. Miss Haiti very much, but no...

    Packet HF or VHF??

Was looking into fooling around with packet modes, both for my setup at home and for mobile use. Would like to be able to send text email using something like Winlink(?). I've read up on info on the web, most of which is marine related. Anybody using this stuff at home or mobile?? If so...

    Haiti 2012: Port-Au-Prince and Leogone

Thanks for all the pictures! I grew up going to Haiti at least yearly from age 6-18 with my parents doing medical trips. Started my early love for Toyotas :). Doesn't look like much has changed in the last 15 years. Same UN troops. Guess a few more post-earthquake? Used to enjoy the trips...

That is how I felt too. Like the bigger calipers took a longer time to start braking, then too much braking on the front end when they did. Maybe I'll try the booster upgrade on mine soon and see what happens? What LPSV did you use on the 4runner, may she rest in peace? :)

Yeah, agree on the booster. Thinking about upgrading on my blue one, with better pads and rotors. If you get to it before me, let me know what you think. The caliper swap might work out better if an adjustable valve for front-back brake distribution was added in with it. I think MAF used to...

    Cruiser Therapy: LaOutbackTrail's FJ62 Landcruiser

I did the 4runner caliper swap on my gold one and haven't been happy with it. Could be an issue with the rears added in, but in damp road "crap I need to stop" braking I found that the front end locked up (with 33s) way to quickly. I know a lot of people seem to do it, but my concern is that it...
