The old school E350 has solid sheet metal in the back so it can definitely stand up to some weight. The key is how it is done of course.
I think one key is to use proper fastening using some sort of expanding insert; and having enough fastening points along the length of the attached rail. I...

I have heard of Jongbloed Wheels...unfortunately no relation!
Thanks for the extra details. I get the seat hinge now. Obvious looking at the pics now.
I'm beginning to design the layout for my EB and this info will assist once I get beyond the 'box' phase.
Nice build!

Naterry,
Can you post something about your construction methods for the interior of your van.
I'm relatively familiar with 8020 and the various connectors they offer, however, the panels you have used and connection methods I guess I've just never seen in the 8020 online catalog.
Can you...
Maybe it is just my model year. It is a 2010 and given the ever increasing DOT etc regulations, perhaps it was beefed up for front end collision reasons? Next time I'm near an earlier model I'll do a comparison. This thing is friggin heavy.

Thanks gents!

mk216v or mgmetalworks:
Could you convey some dimensions on the L-track positioning on the floor and MG's mount?
I have a 2010 E350 EB that I just acquired. Before getting into the full conversion I have a little detour here in November called the Baja 1000. So, I'm installing some L-track and...
