Yeah I'm just tossing ideas out there... if it was taken care of with 26,000 miles it should run for awhile. Ive never driven one but Im wondering if it would be able to handle my 1500# trailer? Seller says it has a 351 in it. It does appear to be in good shape.

Going to look at an 86 ford econoline camper van tomorrow. Says great shape, inspected, road worthy, new tires, 26,000 miles. $2500. Thoughts? Was thinking about possibly a diesel swap or 4wd conversion and pulling my little expo trailer with it for the kids to sleep in.

I know it will be heavier but I was thinking steel tubing and light sheet metal skin. I have never been a fan of working with plywood. Maybe it comes from 8 years of working at a custom cabinet shop. :)

The lid was the route I was thinking.... I just wasn't sure how to build it around the boxes while keeping it water tight.

No not yet....we plan to though. Prolly later in the summer. FYI......Do not got to Rickets glen state park if you are in the area....very cool hiking trails but find somewhere else to stay...Worst camp ground we have ever been to. Worlds end state park is very nice!
