Thank you. Yeah, it's been a great vehicle for my 7yo to grow older in. Hope you can eventually find one out west.

    LR2 questions

I've owned mine for about 2 years and love it. I think most of us are pretty biased because we spend so much time in Discos, LR3s, RRs, etc; but the LR2 is not as small as you think. A friend's 4Runner was parked next to my LR2 recently and it made me realize that the 2 is very close in size to...

Land Rover Questions - help a newbie :)

Read this thread. It's not user selectable in the traditional sense and there's no switch. Your ability to enable the rear locker comes down to Terrain Response setting, Low Range, and where you point the steering wheel. The computers take it from there. Water can cause problems with some of...

    K&N air filters

That's a valid reason for not using the K&N. IMHO, and my anecdotal experience, the MAF-will-die reason is not. So Tom peaked my curiosity regarding the filtering. I wondered just how much difference in filtering occurred between brands, as well as what kind of particles would not be filtered...

    K&N air filters

I've run a K&N filter in my D1 for 6+ years and 80k+ miles without MAF or any other related issues. Service the filter properly and it won't cause problems.

Setting a Disco I up for expedition travel

Aux battery systems seem to be popular with long-range trips, and remote trips in particular. I think this can be problematic on the D1. I'll work on the assumption that RHD Discos have a similar layout under the bonnet, but my reference is LHD NAS V8. Hopefully others with more knowledge on...

    Seat covers?

I'm sure they are great seat covers, but with a mismatched fit of that magnitude I wouldn't pay $50 for them. Die them different colors, put some fake eyeballs in those slots and look like the ghosts from Pac Man driving around...

FS: LR3 rear tent from LR

OK, thanks guys. I think I'll pass at this time. Still debating whether now's the time to start updating/upgrading the LR3 or to wait a few more years. Still love using the D1, but darn if LR3/4s aren't more comfortable for long trips.

FS: LR3 rear tent from LR

Dale, does this tent have a floor? I saw one about 4 or 5 years ago but can't remember. How well does it seal out bugs, or is it more of a place for shade, not sleeping? (I'm thinking between the tailgate and ground, in particular). Thanks, Stephen
