    pickup drawer system/sleeping platform

The drawer dimensions are six feet long and the whole setup drops in between the wheel wells of a full size truck, so just under 48" wide. I literally just want someone to take it away and put it to use. Happy to give it away at this point. I took it out of the truck and it is sitting on the...

I posted this in the for sale classifieds section, but want to see somebody get a great deal and continue to use the storage system I built for my tundra. Here is the link. http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/159438-pickup-drawer-system-sleeping-platform?p=2105436#post2105436 I...

    pickup drawer system/sleeping platform

I am selling my truck and want to make sure that the drawer system and sleeping platform get put to good use. Everything is 3/4" birch plywood, pocket screwed/glued. Has been used for 50,000 miles, 20,000 while I was living and traveling out of the truck, the rest to carry construction tools...

    National Luna Portable Power Pack

I have a National Luna Portable Power Pack that I am not using anymore. It was bought from Equipt last year. I used it for about 6 months to power a fridge and some accessories. Now it is just in the back of my truck not being used. Has the full length of battery cable as well as I didn't cut...

Road Trip to find a new place to live and work

I truly think that Idaho is such a gem in our country. Every time we come here we discover more and more beautiful places. Sandpoint was a cool area. It is definitely touristy but the outskirts and surrounding areas are great. We went to the farmers market on Saturday and it was a very...

Road Trip to find a new place to live and work

Hi guys, Thanks for all the suggestions. We had a great time in the Methow Valley, what a great place. We are heading into northern Idaho today and have about 3 weeks to explore. We will check out Sandpoint and Priest Lake in the north. We want to spend time in the Sawtooths. Any other...

keeping truck shell drier when sleeping in it?

Does anybody have any ideas on keeping the back of a truck a bit drier when you are sleeping in it? We have two people sleeping in the back of the truck and it is a bit moist most mornings. We sleep with the windows open when we can, but being the pacific northwest for the past 5 weeks during...

Taking off the topper and bed rail caps

I have heard about people putting adhesive 3M clear plastic strips where the shell door rubs to prevent it from wearing through the paint. If you decide to get bed rail caps, the canopy dealer normally doubles up on the weatherstripping tape on the part of the bed near the cab of the truck.

Road Trip to find a new place to live and work

we've been poking around the Washington Cascades for the past week or so. We are liking what we have been finding. Next week our friend is letting us stay at her family's home on Orcas Island, so that should be a nice break from our 40 square foot apartment in the back of our truck...

    Skid plates for Tundras?

Are there any aftermarket skid plates available for 2007+ Tundras? I turned part of my factory skidplate into scrap metal while it was still mounted on my truck and now it is not doing much good hanging by a ziptie. Would like to get something that actually acts as a skidplate, not just...

Show us your Toyota 4runner, tacoma or truck.

I guess it qualifies for this thread because it is a toyota truck, just not a 4runner, or tacoma

    Tundras with campers question

yes I agree with this. A 30+ or 35+ tank would be so much nicer.

    Tundras with campers question

The 1600lbs payload capacity that I quoted was for my tundra that had an 8 foot bed so it might be different for a standard bed. You would get more capacity with a regular cab if that is an option for you Most trucks that I have seen use airbags with truck campers, but I have a lot more...

    Tundras with campers question

The payload on my double cab 2008 4x4 is 1600lbs. I have seen campers on tundras. I used to have 2 F350's with large truck campers. They both had very large payload capacities, one was a dually and on both I still had to do suspension modifications to feel somewhat comfortable driving them...

Road Trip to find a new place to live and work

Well the past week has been spent in Sisters and Bend. We liked Sisters a lot, but disliked the cookie cutter developments ringing the edge of downtown. It was a great jumping-off point into the national forest for recreation. One rainy day(yes one of many during our time in Oregon) we headed...

Road Trip to find a new place to live and work

Yes we are going to check out the Wallowas at some point on our trip. Not sure if we will do it now or after we spend some time in Washington and then head to Idaho and check out northeastern Oregon at the same time, it will be a bit warmer if we wait a while. I have heard great things about...

Thanks for this offer, this is really nice of you. We only ended up staying in Ashland for 2 nights though. The Applegate Valley was a beautiful place to spend some time in.

Road Trip to find a new place to live and work

We are in Bend right now, yes the weather is good, people are all super friendly so far, it is on the dry side of the mountains so not a lot of rain. We drove from downtown Bend today to Mt. Bachelor to do some snowboarding and the drive was only 30 minutes. Tons of people on bicycles all over...
