Safari Gard D90 rear bumperettes listed for sale in the classifieds

Just wanted to give the Land Rover group a heads up that I listed a set of Safari Gard Defender 90 rear bumperettes for sale in the classified section.

Land Rover Defender 90 Safari Gard rear bumperettes - For Sale

I'm doing some changes to my D90, so just removed these SafariGard bumperettes that I put on back in about 1996. They've been well maintained, probably re-powdercoated in the last 5-6 years. The powder coat is in quite good shape, and they would be very serviceable used as is. Pricing does not...

    Educate me on the Frontier

Cody - I should give a plug for my previous 2007 Frontier, which is discussed in another thread -http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/150860-07-Frontier-to-be-available-mid-December. I just recently sold it to a dealer in the Portland, OR area while waiting for my new Canyon to arrive...

'07 Frontier to be available mid-December

The wait for the diesel Canyon turned out to be way longer than any of us ordering them expected, so the Nissan has stayed in our ownership until recently. I have enjoyed working with a specialty car dealer in the Portland area in the past, and in the middle of the holiday season decided I...

'07 Frontier to be available mid-December

Good to hear from you, David. I've seen that amazing building you built for the Ducks. Their training complex is being talked about as the best in all of football, NFL included. And I just drove by Howard's house this morning, and the building and landscaping makes it look like it's been...

'07 Frontier to be available mid-December

Thank you for the nice comments about my Frontier, and it's great to hear that you were able to find some things I did for inspiration in your own build. Regarding the Odyssey, first I have to correct my earlier comment that it was a 1750. I should have looked before creating this thread, and...

'07 Frontier to be available mid-December

I am not sure, I have not been in contact with them in quite awhile. I don't think they ever brought any more in, even back when my truck was fitted with them in about 2008-9, but you should call or email them to find out availability. They are very well made and very sturdy.

'07 Frontier to be available mid-December

That's a great question, and one I need to address immediately. I've done zero research and really put no thought into it, so will address that now and post up an idea. I see you're in Oregon, so if near the Portland area and have a desire to see it, please send a PM and we can arrange a time...

'07 Frontier to be available mid-December

I started watching the development of both the Titan XD and the Canyon 2.8 Duramax way back. As details emerged, I decided the Titan is way more than I need, and because the mid-size Frontier has been one of my favorite vehicle purchases ever, did not hesitate to order the Canyon when it was...

'07 Frontier to be available mid-December

Thank you for the build comment. I've really liked this truck, and will miss it. I've had a GMC Canyon with the new diesel on order since mid-September, and it's finally scheduled for production. I doubt the Canyon will be nearly as capable as this Nissan has been, but then my overland...

'07 Frontier to be available mid-December

I've been on here a long time, but haven't posted in some time. My well built '07 Frontier Nismo will be coming on the market in December, so thought I should share a brief description now in case anyone is considering a ready-to-go Frontier in the near future. Full details will be in my...

Rear arb bumper with tire carrier?

In my previous reply, when I mentioned that the ARB bumper could be a candidate for a swing-away tire mount, I was referring to a self-fabricated mod to an existing bumper. The ARB bumper is fully boxed underneath, so the wrap-around tubes on the sides are attached with a rigid frame to the...

Rear arb bumper with tire carrier?

FYI, the US spec Frontier rear frame is identical to the rest-of-the-world Navaras. My 2007 Frontier was used by ARB to test fit the rear bumper, along with all the other goodies, and we found the Australian rear bumper bolted right up with no modifications required. I really like my ARB rear...

Craiglist ad for 1988 Nissan Safari Granroad

FYI, spotted this interesting Nissan ad in the Portland Craigslist, titled "1988 Nissan Safari 4x4 Diesel 18,211 original miles - $19500 (The Gorge)". The truck is in Hood River. Looks to be in amazing condition. http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/cto/4269674898.html

2011 nissan frontier pro4x mild expedition build

The ARB bumper was designed for Warn XD9000 and M8000. When Warn used my truck for the Zeon launch photo and video shoot, we only fitted the control pack on the bumper and did not mount the entire winch, but they looked and thought it would fit. My Frontier make a couple very brief appearances...

    Post your Nissan Camping Pictures!

When I bought the Nissan back in 2007, I went looking for the usual suspension, protection, and recovery mods. I found little, but did spot all the nice things ARB was doing in Australia for the Navara, so called my friends up at ARB. Just coincidentally, they were looking to offer some...

    Post your Nissan Camping Pictures!

Here are a couple shots from my last Death Valley trip in March 2013. I also have a Defender 90, but prefer the Nissan for long trips like this one, almost a thousand miles one way just to get there. The first was taken at a very nice camp spot in Hidden Valley, with the sun just setting behind...

    Nissan Photos - post your's

Mike - You probably still have my contact info, so stay in touch. We could certainly put together a 2-3 day run east of the Cascades, probably do some of the OBDR trail. And hopefully we could get David Shourd to join us as well. Ed

    Nissan Photos - post your's

To illustrate why I like the Frontier for overlanding, here is a shot that shows the convenience of my roof-top tent mounted to the the pick up bed rails. The tailgate makes for a great kitchen area, and can be covered with a small awning if it rains. This shot was taken up a short side road...

    Nissan Photos - post your's

Seeing Stoic's photo taken in Dedeckera Canyon, and posted a couple days ago, has inspired me to finally post a shot of my Nissan. My photo was shot at the same spot on March 28. I was leading a group of Defenders, two D90s and a 110 from the Pacific Coast Rover Club. I also have a D90, but...
