Today I wanted to see if I could move the rack setup off and on the truck with only one person. Sure enough, I could! I really like the Yakima Control Towers, they make for quick removal.

It should hold the RTT no problem. It will probably be about a month or more before I get this installed. I recently had knee surgery and have a vacation planned next month. I'll definitely post the install/review when I do it.

I had a LT thudbuster for several years and loved it. I have since given it to my dad and he still has it on his bike. It's been in use for 10 years now. I've turned more into a weight weenie and wouldn't be caught riding one now, but I do have good memories using it.

Well I got all my rack components on Monday, but... I had ACL re-graft surgery Tuesday so I'll be waiting a while to install it.

I had the idea come to me to use the Yakima tracks and control towers along the top of the bed sides to mount accessories to. I am wondering how easy it is to access the underside of the bed sides in order to mount the tracks. Here is a picture of the rack system. I haven't looked too closely...
