    winter camping in conversion van

Not true. A properly-installed propane heater will vent to the outside, just as an Espar or Webasto does. Cooking inside with an open flame, on the other hand, WILL introduce moisture. True. Cheers, Brent

That's very similar to the GTRV lifting mechanism. Very cool.

    EarthRoamer XV-JP "Northwest Edition"

Well, I can at least see and appreciate you're thought process through this. But ... a good chunk of that investment was just ripped out and thrown in a pile. I tend to disagree, but admittedly I can't set aesthetics aside (and I'm not signing the cheques :D). It just seems so recent that...

    EarthRoamer XV-JP "Northwest Edition"

But why not just fab a new shell, if that is all that is being re-purposed? (Dion apparently worked on the original XV-JP project.)

    EarthRoamer XV-JP "Northwest Edition"

^^^ this I looked at the photo of everything stripped out, and thought what a shame! Mike, did you consider selling this to someone who would appreciate it, and starting over with a fresh JK? The only original thing left appears to be the rear shell.

    Mission Dawn Patrol

My heater is an Espar Airtronic 5, so no water heating. This summer will be 6 years in the van, trouble-free. I am planning to open it up this year and see if it needs cleaning (or send it out for servicing). It has been great, and kicks out a tonne of heat. We spend many nights a year at a...

First trip in my 2001 GTRV e350 v10.

You know, that's a good question. I'll have to check to be sure, but I suspect the roof rack rails and hardware line up with the angle rails on the inside of the top, as shown in the photo below. Cheers, Brent

Toolman, Yes, it's a standard T-Top from GTRV. I'm out of town for a few days, but will try to post up some pics when I return. Or, you can check out my thread on www.sportsmobileforum.com --> GTRV Conversion on a Ford E350 EB Cheers, Brent

If ever a thread needed pictures...door galley idea

Glad I can help. Here's recent pic of how we usually use the cabinet, with just the front drop-down table in use. The rear drop-down table requires the right side of the galley to be unlatched from the door and then the galley is swung 90° on hinges on the left side. Cheers, Brent

If ever a thread needed pictures...door galley idea

Are you saying you want the ability to adjust the height of the stove, while cooking, from inside height to outside height? How often do you envision that happening? For me, in almost 20 years of owning vans, I've never felt the need to do that, and I think it would be very dangerous to move a...
