How do you like that tent (looks like the REI Hobitat 4)?

I've run 33x10.5's on my TJ with roughly 4" of lift for roughly 4 years with no problems. I did get aftermarket rims but stayed conservative on the BS, because I don't like the appearance of a lot of tire sticking out.

Not a huge operation but 4x4groupbuy.com has great prices and awesome customer service!

Unfortunately, the Commander is being discontinued and with a limited build cycle, I don't see an abundance of aftermarket goodies in the future. Keep in mind with the 3rd row seat deployed in the Commander, you have poor rear visibility and extremely limited interior storage space.

I had a set of Beard's (non recline) in my VW Baja that I loved. Very supportive and kept you in place during off road driving.

I also put in my SYE while the TC was still in (granted it was under a TJ). The most important thing was to purchase a good set of snap ring pliers.

IMO, I think an 8.8 would be overkill for what your looking to do, both in terms of money and offroad performance. You would be much better off buying used TJ axles with factory 3.73's, as they can usually be had extremely cheap and will bolt right in. The price of used TJ axles would be...

Stick with the 7" width on your rims if you are only going to run 10.5's. You will definitely want to regear your rig but it is an expensive proposition. York systems are popular for onboard air on wranglers.
