I also love the way old jeeps are so easily worked on. I have heard stories of people field fixing a jeep with wooden pistons and water bottle gas tanks.

Thanks for the info I will begin looking for a 2" spacer. All I have seen are 1.5" spacers. I guess there were changes in the 2006-2008 suspension. If anyone knows where to look for the spacers let me know.

OK so it sounds like 2500 coils are out. Maybe I need to look @ a set of spindle lifts and maybe a body lift. for right now I will work on getting larger tires and look @ more lift later on.

One reason I see for taller stiffer coils would be a winch bumper. I am thinking of building a winch bumper for the front end.

I love to see a flat-fender rebuild. I also have a bastardized version of a jeep mine is a 46 cj2a with am M38 windshield and a DJ3a body. I hope someday to put a good body on mine. but for now I try to use it as is. There ain't nothing that moves people out of your way faster than someone...

Well it sounds like you will be able to use the ARB ar locker. Here is a link to the ARB website. http://arb.com.au/media/products/air-lockers/application_chart.pdf this chart list all the aplications for ARB air lockers.

Depends on which rearend you have. Some of the explore axles were not really suported by the aftermarket. The most popular air locker would be the ARB. The problem is finding out if they make one to fit your rearend.

Thanks for all the replies. Love the pics. I have the 3.92's, need the LSD. I'm thinking maybe 285/70-17s now would look real good on mine.
