    Jeep commander or Hummer H3

Another vote for the commander here. I upgraded from an XJ to an XK in june and I love it. I bought mine with a 4" lift already installed which is good cuz I would have done it anyway. It came with 33s on 20" rims but even with the lift there was no room for mud flaps let alone chains so I...

    Trailer Action Shots

Great idea for a thread. I don't have much in the way of action shots. I have to convince the wife to get out and take same pictures. But here are some of my favorites. Winter down the kootney valley Fenwick creek Logging area near Fenwick creek Another good winter trip Old burn...

    Explorer 1 gets a Stroker!

Yeah. I'm a mechanic and I still had someone else build it for me. Not only did it save me time and effort but it came with a warranty. Not to say something will go wrong but if it did it was someone else's problem.

    Explorer 1 gets a Stroker!

I put my stroker in about 2 years ago and I do love it. I put a 98 motor in my 89 wagoneer limited. I had Northwest Engine Exchange in Spokane Washington build it for me. http://www.northwestengines.com/ It was their first one. I did all the research for it and told them what parts to put in...

    roof rack materials

I would question the durability. I have seen many similar design running boards corrode right through due to road salt. Snow and water would just sit in all those channels and do its magic. For internal use it would be great though. Custom campers or custom SUV interiors.

    Wheel bearings.

If the noise has started shortly after the axle shaft was changed then I would take it back and have them look at it. That era of subarus have an issue with that. The fit between the outter joint and the wheel bearing is nasty tight. Quite often the hammering that has to be done to get the shaft...

    Triple electric fans?

Wow I wish I had found this when I put my stroker in a couple years ago! I don't know any thing about the company but the product looks and sounds like its the best option on the market. I went with an all brass three row from Extreme Radiator.com out of Alabama. The service I got from these...

    Mattracks

I was thinking that a setup like this for the truck and tent trailer would be great for unploughed logging roads. Just think of the winter camping opportunities. I have heard that a heli skiing lodge on lake kinbasket has an H1 with these for winter access.

    Heres my expo vehicle

my brother runs a solar panel about 2ft x 3ft and mounts it on a small tripod so he can move it with the sun. Seems to keep his batteries charged up under moderate use. Its not really an issue if you are on the move every couple of days.

    Heres my expo vehicle

I'm running 2 6v batteries which easily got me through a feb. long weekend of -20C nights without recharging. The 20lb propane tanks are more than enough too. The same trip the furnace non stop for for almost 12 hours each night and I only went through 1 tank. The only complaint I have is that...
