my idea is built Bridging Ladders in alum for my jeep i make 2 plate in 3/16 t6-6061 the shape : all hole dimple bend each side 90deg and weld T on middle dimple is not to bad after end look the big deformation is not big problem, juste bend 90deg each side for give strait...
