Not sure what year Ody you have but I have an '03 and a '99 T4R. The T4R is small in the drivers and front passenger areas compared to the Ody. Not too small for me, I really like the T4R. But the wife greatly prefers the spacious front of the Ody.

These guys make lots of sheets of steel and fiberglass with holes in them. http://www.mcnichols.com/ Perf steel will work but will likely need a angle steel frame surround for rigidity to span 4'.

About the simplicity and CB issue- @Martinjmpr and others mentioned programming the repeaters into the radio. Does any manufacturer do that already? From reading about the radio options it always comes up that we need to program the radios and that it is a simple process. Seems like a smart...

It is a used car dealer likely. They are in hopes that someone will want that truck due to an emotional connection, a guy with money now that sold his old '88 years ago and wants that style again. You can buy 2 decent 3rd gens for that price. Or spend $8K on a nicer 3rd gen and outfit it...

One of the downsides to the 3rd gen T4R. The tanks are, I think, 18.5 gallons capacity. When the light comes on in mine, at about 200 miles, I will go another 25 +/- miles. When I fill up it kicks off the pump at approx 14.5 gallons, then I put another 1 gallon in and stop. Lots of talking about...
