Axles, Tires Hubs and Highway speeds over long trips... I don't have a clue

Just as a side note, thanks for your service. I was a grunt, too; 11B2P/11H2P from '70-'73 with 2/325 INF (82nd), 11B30 from '80-'84 with 1/12th INF (4th ID) and 1/39th INF (8th ID). Good luck with your adventures. Bear in mind that consumer and even commercial gear isn't often made to the...

toying with idea of pop up truck camper

My 2012 Hawk has the furnace, 2 small propane tanks, no hot water tank or heater, ice box (they screwed up there cuz I ordered it with a cabinet built there, not the ice box), a 110V AC air conditioning unit (that requires a bit more aluminum strut bracing built in), a single vent with Fantastic...

    Camper and Truck Photos

Yep, they don't list it as an option, but it is. Around $400 extra, but they build up the area with additional aluminum framing to support the unit. Works a charm, too, and quiet. it's just a little GE window unit with low amp draw, plugged into an AC outlet they wire over on the passenger side.

Humorous story I wish I had a photo of... My wife and I were in a little restaurant in Waterton NP, Alberta (just across the border from Glacier Park) and she used the Ladies Room before getting our lunch. The restaurant was decorated with lots of old train station and railroad memorabilia...

Artistic Shots- Well thought out, framed (positioned), artistic shots only please.

It's hard not to take a good picture up there. We first went in '02 I think, and have been back 10 times. It was a lot cheaper when the Canadian dollar was depressed against the USD. Last time up gas at Lake Louise was almost $5/gal. but you don't have to drive far to see spectacular views; you...

What camera do you carry on the trails?

Yup, but not all at the same time, of course! Once I carried my Sony EX1 and Sachtler tripod and fluid head up a mountain in Banff NP, Alberta. Got up to the lookout view I wanted, went to set up the tripod and one leg fell completely apart. Won't repeat the nasty words that were uttered...
