    Which power source for CB

Stick to using the battery. You don't want to tap into "dirty" electricity caused by another electrical device: turn signals, fans etc. I used to work for a company that made filters to clean electricity and believe me there is a lot of signals (dirt) in most lines. The battery does not...

Is it worth building a Kj?

The KJ in that thread is a member of L.O.S.T. and that thing will go anywhere and do it in comfort. He is/was right about the other 6 rigs. But, there are a few more in different stages of being made. There will be many more. At this time there are 2 companies working on a "bolt on kit" for...

Is it worth building a Kj?

Check with Tommud he made a variation of the same thing. I think he can take his seat out and put in his rear deck extension on in 20 or so minutes. That way if you want the seat it's their, if you don't need it remove it. Actually I could do that to if I really wanted to. Terry

Is it worth building a Kj?

I'm lucky in that I'm the only one to use my KJ. The wife has her own car and the kids are married off. Mt KJ sets about 4.5" higher than what it did before modifying it. Then I removed the back seat and built a metal frame using 1"x1" steel tubing. I covered that with plywood and then...

    Wanted: CB radio system

With CB you get what you pay for. You buy a cheap radio you will get sub par performance. That will show in both the receive and transmit quality. A high quality unit has much better filtering in them. As far as bleeding over onto other channels goes, if your close together that will happen...

Tell us about your disablity & rig

I wasn't going to respond to this thread. But, changed my mind because of what was said above. I'm 61 years old and the years haven't been that great in some ways. I was in the Army, in Vietnam in 1967. I was hit in both upper legs by a machine gun. I spent the next 23 months in the...

    Four Door Jeep Wrangler Question

I guess I'm partial to Jeeps! I have a 2005 Jeep Liberty (KJ) Limited Edition 4X4. It is a true 4X4 with a low range transfer case. I picked the Liberty because of the ride quality (have medical conditions) and inside room. It's my only vehicle and I do play off road a lot. I added a 3.5"...

    Coachman Starflyt

I don't remember the brands right now but there are some Class C's with a Mercedes diesel in them. The Ford V-10 is a great engine, I had one in a 34' motorhome but the diesel I had in my 38' was much better. Terry
