EscapeDivision: 2001 Tundra Access Cab build thread.

Looks amazing, that was one sweet overhaul of the suspension. I'm looking into getting one of those bumpers towards the end of the summer. I'm curious to see how the suspension holds up with the added weight. I have OME 886s with Bilstein 5100s right now and it's super stiff, so I was thinking...

I would be interested in your Addicted depending on $$$ I live in Chattanooga so shipping wouldn't be an issue.

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

I run the toytech 3 leaf AAL and I kept the overload leaf in and everything works fine. I got about 2-2.5 inches of lift, and the truck rides a ton better.

Very slow and mild 04 Tundra DC build!!

Suspension looks great are those OME 885 or 886s. We have basically the same set up and same topper I believe, but mines an 01' access cab. I'm running Bilstein 5100s front and rear and OME 886s up front.

Help Out a Noob: Should I buy this Tundra?

If you can do the install yourself replacing all the front end (UBJs, LBJs, inner & outer tierods, steering rack bushings, cv boots, shocks, and coils...etc) it should only cost around $1,000. I would say that should be done if you're going to take this thing on expedition off-road style trips...

    Tundra sway bars links ugh!!!!!

If you use stiff springs like OME 886 or 885 up front I've heard that you no longer need the sway-bar for on road performance. I know a few people on this forum have just left theirs off for a while, without an adverse effect as long as they had heavy duty coils up front.

Great job on the tubing and wheel/tire combo. It came out looking great! I'm going to have to do that in a few years on my 01'. Jealous right now though.
