What Do You Dislike About Your JK

I have a 2014 JKU Rubicon. What I didn't like I changed, but one thing stumps me. Am I the only person who sometimes can't see the gauges driving during bright sunlight? I have to turn on the parking lights and rotate the dimmer control to the highest setting without turning on the inside...

Would you put a locker in ....

With 35's on the differentials you have I would leave them open. If you get into high traction situations, like slickrock, I believe the open diffs are going to be more forgiving. If you want lockers on the 35 inch tires you have I would save the money for some stronger axles. Look for one of...

Thanks for the kind words regarding my LJ. Prior to the LJ I had a 95 ZJ that was built for the same type of use. I could sleep in it for a week and climb ledges like crazy. I got to appreciate the 105" wheelbase, but not so much the unibody. After 150,000 miles (many of them hard miles) the...

I was not happy with the hoses that came with the conversion. I went to NAPA and searched through pictures and came up with the hoses I am using. They work fine. I will see if I can find the numbers when I have a moment to go through my files. I do not have pictures of the attachment, but I...

    Tales of the Grey Mouser...

Just a positive note to Mark's design. I built mine last winter based on his design and it has worked great. Spent over 12 days last summer in the back of the Jeep. Works for the wife and I, but when we take the dog, we stay in a tent. Thanks Mark!

    Tales of the Grey Mouser...

Mark, Thanks for the info on the bed build. I have slept in the back of my 06 unlimited and it works great for me. However, would be nice not to have to empty everything for the night-so this looks very promising. Plus, maybe I can talk my wife into going if there is enough room for two (I...

Haggis, I really like the sleeping platform. Can you give some more specifics? Plywood thickness and where is the bulkhead you talk about? Can you lift the whole thing in thru the back opening and drop it in place? Thanks.

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

In 2008 I purchased a 2006 TJ Unlimited Rubicon. It is proving to be a very capable trail and exploration vehicle. Some of the stuff done: -Full Traction 6" Long Arms -Garvin Bumpers -Warn Powerplant winch -315x75x16 on American Racing ATX wheels -lots of steel underneath -GenRight 31.5 Gal...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

I have had the good fortune to own a couple of excellent Jeeps to both tackle the difficult trails and do some great exploring. The first was a 95 ZJ that I owned for 13 years. Over time did a lot of "stuff" to it. The major things: Dana 50 front Dana 60 rear both w/ARB lockers Clayton Long...
