BBslider: Nice rig!
Great job on the cleaning, Looks brand new.
I like the use of the newer GM aluminum rims and the mirrors make it so much easier to tow.
I replaced them on my 02 2500HD and love them.

Will you get the roof and hood repainted?
I would rather have sun baked paint than a rusty everything like we do in Pennsylvania.

great looking truck, ive had 3 suburbans and love them. My last was a 92 with the 454tbi and it was an excellent truck and very reliable, i only got rid of it because of gas mileage and i found a 93 k2500 with a 6.5td. My interrior is the same color as yours and now after seeing your pictures im realizing how dirty mine is lol. Great looking rig though, cant beat a 90's suburban in my opinion.

Mr BBslider, I am glad that your initial problems about the site are all forgotten and you have had the chance to experience the cool people here. As for your rig, what can I say? That machine is clean!:Wow1: I am looking forward to seeing what you will do with that rig, and remember that even a simple brake job requires pics, with the mandatory cold beer:beer: at your side! Keep up the good work and lets see how that sweet `Burb´turns out....

Thanks Chlli! Yeah, I put that stuff behind me...I hope others have too. I love this forum and get on it daily. The people here are great and extremely helpful and just plain friendly. Sorry about the lack of pics. I dropped the impact on my little Nikon Coolpix camera and cracked the screen :mad::mad: I have since gotten it fixed so photos will continue. Plenty of beer has been had while working on this queen. I have been very happy with it. More to come!!

Thanks Mark! I am getting the hood and roof redone this Spring after tax season. The rest of the truck is in pristine condition. I got those mirrors off of Ebay...direct fit. I want to go one size smaller on the tires...crazy I know, but I like the factory size. The PO put those on and I wish he hadn't...ah well. No complaints!

Thanks for the input. The cleaning was a fairly big deal, but the results were well worth it.

I have removed those heater hose fittings with a deep socket and a long breaker bar (1/2 drive). A gentle bump to get it loose and they usually spin right out. I've never broken one yet. In fact I usually use a plastic pipe cutter and cut the factory hose right past the aluminum factory fitting and re-use the hose on the auto parts store heater hose fitting.
I have my 93 Suburban at the frame shop right now, a lady turned left in front of me 2 days after Thanksgiving and told her insurance co I ran a red light! I finally convinced them she would have had the same red light I had if that were true and she should not have turned left until it was safe to do so. They finally accepted liability, I had the adjuster look at it and I should hear about my settlement options soon. The adjuster said it is probably a total loss, but I can keep it and accept a lessor amount. It needs a core support, A/C condenser, grille, bumper and brackets. I did not even break a headlight or turn signal lens!
Mine is a 350/4l60E but I installed 95 leather seats, rebuilt the rear springs and installed a 9.5 semi-float 14 bolt since the 10 bolt axle seals were leaking. The parts cost to repair the 10 bolt was more than the purchase of the 14 bolt at Pick a Part! Its got 232,000 miles on it and never been apart.

I have 3 Subs, a 73 the 93 and a 2000. The 73 is on the redo list now. The 2000 is the wifes DD.
