So a few days ago a buddie said hay you have a small puddle under your truck. I looked quickly did not see any thing serious at the moment. I had planes to be under it soon for the oil change any way figured I would check it then. Well as I crawled under the front to greese the ball joints I noticed my steering stableizer was not straight.

So a new Rancho rs5000 unit is on order and will be installed. This was not bet on my inspecting after out Moab trip.

The build will get a bit more intense in the coming months as I will have my own home

Well we are all packed up. Except for one problem 2 quads don't fit in the back of a short box Ford. We have the problem fixed for the move. However it got me thinking we own a nice midsized camp trailer. We will no longer be living in it. So we would like to use it as a camping trailer and be able to haul our 2 Polaris sportmans and the trailer. The only way I can come up with besides a second truck is to flat bed mine.

I have been gathering ideas on flatbeds . I think this will be the best way to go. I also plan to put 37" tires and 4:88 gears. The wife has big plans it sounds.

Well hear I sit in Az. The truck did great on the trip down towing out 26' camp trailer weight 7500# . The fuel mileage was not great 7-11 but empty I only get 12 in Wyoming and 16 in Colorado. We had no problems the whole trip.

Well not much of a build up. I did get new tires today and waxed the truck again.

The flat bed is still going to happen but it has to hold till after elk season.

I had planed to get bfg baja 37-12.5-16.5 but I got a great deal on 315-75-16 Procomp All terrain. Not my first choice how ever the price and time. I have been cat hunting and have a elk hunt coming up faster that I thought. So these fell in to my lap. My first impressionis there loud for the tire style sound more like a mud tire.

All depends I can drive 2 weeks and never go farther than 2 miles per trip when I do that 12. Normal day to day mix town and hwy I get 14 with od off and 12 with it in. The best I have gotten is 16 on my honeymoon driving across Colorado.

I plan my trips at 12 because in 4low I have gotten as low as 6.

Truck just returned for a 2 week hunting trip. We got a very nice elk 362 6x7. The truck did amazing I got 17 mpg on the way up the procomps offered a good mix of sand and mud traction. The 6 day how ever was the start of the bad.

It just flat rained for 4 days. I was scouting and had rolled my window down listing for elk. I had jumped out and gone to the edge.of a clearing where I heard some beugling (sp?). Well the rain hit hard so I ran back to the truck to shut the door and roll up the window. I hit the switch got shocked and then my fuse box started to play me a tune of clicks and snaps it sounded like i had a bowl of rice crispies in my dash. I had fried my gem module this powers all your acesories like windows wipers and 4wd switch. So stuck in the rain with my window down and no wipers I headed slowly back to camp. At this time I did not know I would be stuck in 4low but I was.so 47 miles of gravel in 4low later I am back at camp. I got the truck in 4 hi but never got 2wd.

So all in all I still love my superduty it took me every where pulled 800lbs of elk and itself out of a canyon in 4hi got me the best mileage ever and with 183k did not burn a drop of valvoline next gen motor oil.
