Will work for tips...

Well that didn't fix it! The cruise would work ok before I changed the lines, they were worn and cracked so If figured I get prventative on them, but no I have nada. The cruise used to kick off when I hit pot holes and such on the hwy. Well time to try something else.

One other CC test tip.... did you pull the plunger on the vac switch out to its stop? First compress the plunger all the way then you will feel a short series of small clicks as you move it through the full range of motion of the plunger. These switches are "self adjusting" sort of. when you extend the plunger all the way forward (once it is in its mounting bracket) and then release the pedal the plunger will automatically set itself to the proper distance from the pedal arm.

Having said that, if the issue is intermittant you are probably looking at ECU being the main culprit...maybe :)

Ugh, I just can't catch a break in the weather here. I'm still in a holding pattern. I really need to build a garage!

UGH...... so it failed again, but what I have noticed is that, when its activated and not working if I lift up on the brake pedal with my foot it will work, when not lifting, it won't work. Think I need a new switch or adjust something?

you may need to look at the switch while it is being contacted by the pedal arm. It is possible the switch itself is moving ever so slightly in its mounting bracket. those two little lock tabs suck and are somewhat fragile.

If that is not the case and it is firmly mounted and not moving around when contacting the pedal arm then maybe try "extending" the end of the switch plunger... (assuming the plunger is already at its extended limit). maybe glue a small pad onto the end of the plunger?

Cosmic, I think your onto something there, I can't get the switch to be snug, I think I'll try a small zip tie to snug onto the pedal, and if that doesn't work I have a few small rubber pads from my kitchen cabinets I could use on the plunger, thanks for the idea! I'll post back the outcome.
