AEV JK Six Pack

I'm liking this. Imagine a Chevy Suburban but not made by Chevy (I am not a Chevy fan from my last 4 experiences with Chevy). If you have 3 children and don't want a Ford Excursion but want to travel fire roads and logging roads it would be the perfect ticket.:coffee:

Guys, although its interesting to hear opinions on this jeep, please keep in mind that this was just a qmc project to show their body in white development capability. It has nothing to do with AEV. It would have been very different if AEV did something, because offroad performance would, of course, been a priority. In this case it was built for a specific customer for his needs.

Dave, thanks for posting here as well as on AEV's forums. Even though it wasn't done by AEV it appears to be very well done. I love seeing what you guys are able to think up and then actually do. To me it looks like something produced by Jeep and that is the biggest compliment I can give. Now I really can't wait to see what else you announce at SEMA!!!

I like it, but they stretched it that much and only gained one more occupant? At least put a bench in the back to get it to seat 7.

if the price was right I'd definitely buy one, but it wont be.....

I am really diggin' that! Could easily haul 3-4 of my moto buds, myself, and our gear bags.

Where is Metcalf with his 3Door project, that would be perfect.

The more I look at the JK's the more I want to jump off the Toyota bandwagon, tired of waiting for a 4D retro FJ40.

Dave from AEV just confirmed is uses the same stretched chassis as the doka.

Funny how everyone thought the long wheel base of the doka was "great", but in "wagon" form it's horrible.

That is interesting since, it looks like the Six Pack has a better departure angle.

I'd like some more info on the dimensions inside and out. Imagine that with a pop top or doormobile type of camper set up.

An enclosed body SUV on a Power Wagon frame would be sweet.

What would of been different? It is on the same chassis os the double cab, correct?

So wouldn't the off-road performance be similar? Perhaps a slightly better, because the departure angle looks to be a tad better.

But you now have a lower break over point.

But you now have a lower break over point.

Same wheelbase as the their double cab Brute, and appears to be the same 4.5" suspension and 37" tires, why would it be any different? Sounds like they are almost ashamed of it.

Nearly the same wheelbase of a Tacoma DCLB too.

I stand corrected.

No worries. :)

The only thing you would give up over the the double cab brute, would be a smidge of cargo room.

I am really diggin' the Six Pack, I would take that over the DC-Brute, since I would probably have a topper on
the Brute to protect gear, problem solved with the Six Pack.
