Very cool. I've had my eye on the zero bikes for awhile, so I look forward to seeing how they do when exposed to the fair scrutiny of the O.J team.

Hoo boy, I'll be keeping my eye on this one.
Nice job blazing the trail guys :bike_rider:

Things I'm curious to see.
  • Acceleration/ torque with a full, overland load.
  • How long or difficult downhills will be handled without engine braking.
  • Can the engine generate electricity through kinetic energy like the Prius does?
I'm confident the technology will get there, it's just a question of how long.

Super cool project, wish I was there to see it firsthand!

Ill be anxiously awaiting some feedback about your experience with the bike. Met a guy in Boulder not to long ago that has one for commuting. He easily pulled away from the pack at a green light! Had to chase him down and chat him up for a minute. Such a sweet bike! Have fun out there fellas! :bike_rider:

ok the SPOT deal is tight, very neat to see. I think if I had one of these on solo runs the wife would worry a lot less. We had discussed me getting one a while back but the discussion died down after i showed her the cost. the cost of not having one might me more dangerous than having it though lol...

I have to add though I am really diggin this thread though

We made it to Mayer. Needed a short charge at 31 miles

Epic ice and snow AND mud on the Senator Hwy.

Finishing the charge here and then on to Bloody Basin

Neat,

How does the bike handle off pavement?

Do you notice different power comsumption between paved and un-paved use?
