:yikes: THAT IS SO RAD!:yikes:

I had to look a Mayahual to see what your talking about! Dood! YOU ROCK!:wings::sombrero::wings:

I'm going to give her a "mighty shake" up here...but then RACE south (with double my HP!) I'll PM you with plenty of warning.

Yes, if your willing to go Rohloff!

I raised the fenders 3.25 inches and cut that much from the hood, I also keept the same line on the rear fenders. :)

Any dates on the double rings? I am going 2X9 on my expo bike. (But a 9 speed with a 32 would be sweet also). Can they be engraved "Expo Ready" :sombrero:

The top will have to be a community effort, I just don't have enough experience, I am counting on you guys.

Hi,

I have an Alaskan Postal, I could take pics if you would like, let me know what you need. I would also recommend you look at this guys three threads on the Jeep Scrambler Forum.

I would be interested in a zip file of pics.

I was going to recommend checking out Jeff's (jscherb's) projects on cj-8.com, as well. He does amazing work, and he's not a "pro" - just a detail-oriented guy who plans well, and executes to his plan with precision. He's a great guy, and has done some of the nicest Jeep projects I have seen.

Progress has been slow, (Kid in college, you know the drill :) ).

I have already talked to the fiberglass guys and we are in the planning stages, I will put somepictures for you guys to consider.

The Jeep paint its almost ready, i really like it, And 34s or 35s will fit right in without lift.

In for a penny...

In for a pound, right? I'm subscribing!
I would really like to see some pics and more details on hw the highline was done. I understand the concept, raise the fenders 3 1/4"s up, remove 3 1/4"s from the hood..Sounds simple enough. But...Is there a new lip on the bottom of the hood to replace the rigidity? Pics? Please...!
Also, are you planing on fender flares to cover the 35s? Which ones?
I'm going to be soing my own semi-version of an EV with my Scrambler and am constantly looking for new ideas...Love the progress on this so far!!! Keep it rollin!!!!:wings:

Nice CJ8 Overlander. I wonder what will be the outcome of your project? I am looking forward for the outcome. Keep on going what you have started. :)

May I assume you have already checked out cj-8.com? Great group over there!

bigwalton, jscherb (both on this site, too), and revho - among others - own Alaskan Postals. We're lucky to have two of those right here in Michigan! :sombrero:

Hi Craig,
Correction - sold my CJ-8 out from under the hardtop at the end of last year and bought an LJ to replace it as my daily driver. But for now I still have the hardtop.

So is it now the basis for an AK Postal dining table project? :coffeedrink:

Arrrghh, my dream top, just sitting there , I will try my best to recreate it but with a flip-top, having some issues already, will keep you posted.

Not quite a Postal... but here's photos of the first test-fitting of the Safari Cab project... I haven't trimmed the front of the roof at the windshield header, so that end of the roof is sitting about 1/2" high, and I haven't trimmed the bottom of the sides where they join the tub or the rear door yet, so please excuse the minor fitment issues there - once trimmed and finished everything will fit perfectly. And of course don't mind the paper printout windows simulating what the actual windows will look like...

The molds I've made can make these tops in lengths from half-cabs up to Scrambler full cabs, and any size in-between (custom lengths too). The one pictured is an LJ, but the molds can be used for CJ and YJ tops as well.
