Well I thought I should add my photographs to the mix. I dropped in on the gang early Sunday morning. It was nice being able to sneak up on them. The group was camped out right next to a small stream. Well here are my photographs. Thanks to all, I enjoyed my day trip!

Lance gave me a full demo of his X-Jack. Very nice.

With the electronic swaybar connected the X-jack easily got the front tire off the ground. A small concern of mine.

The group ran into Robb(Blupaddler) and we all convoyed to the Diablo Drop Off.

Only time I've ever wanted a winch on my Taco... but then what do you connect it to out there?
If you don't have another vehicle, you can take out and bury your spare, or break out your Pull Pal. I posted separately about how I tested this in deep sand, and it performed exactly as advertised. I almost had to stay overnight after being stuck in the Borrego Sink my second time out there, with a stock vehicle, stock tires, and no experience reading water or mud depth. I vowed "never again", shook my fist in the mud's general direction, and added a winch and Pull Pal to my list of things to buy. My first time out, I didn't even have a HiLift, I was such a newb. Had a shovel and emergency supplies, though.

Hi Roadie- I honked at you the other day on Melrose but couldn't get your attention.:wavey:

I'm familiar with the Pull-Pal and spend a few days each month down the road from the Pull-Pal HQ. Cool tool.

Gear- Great pics, as usual.

A few more pics...

We found this sheltered spot a little ways away from the old Stage Station site.

How did you know it was me? hehe, I suppose the Envoy is distinctive. Sorry to be so clueless - I never think "look for possible Expo members" on my commute. I still want to see the insides of your tent and the "other thing". Was your tent off?
