Hello Tim
I just picked up a used RTT and am in need of a replacement cover for mine also. Can you give me the info on where you got your new cover from and the people to contact for it. Also if you have the time can you take a pic of the new cover so that I can see how much beefier it's made.
Thanks Doug

I just did a little review of the current latest model Mombasa RTT. This one has the improved ladder.

Thanks LuisG. I need to drill another hole to keep it less extended.

Yes, it was from trdparts4u.com
Speak to Jacque or Gerone.
Great guys and great customer service.
The original cover was 500 and this one is 1000 so its exactly twice as thick. I'll try to take a pic this weekend for you.
Its also Tan which I like. :jump:

The new cover is 1000 Denier vs. 500 Denier of the last make. It's much more durable, better construction and should last longer.

I have mine on it's way from Mel@ roof-top-tent.com

Any pics of then new covers yet??

I've got ~40 nights in my RTT Expedition Series tent to date, first cover made it ~30 nights, this second cover has ripping along a corner seem with under a dozen nights. The tent itself is in otherwise excellent condition, if the new covers fix the problem I'll leave it at that, otherwise I may get a cover made locally or switch tents.

I can send a pic but it won't show much. The biggest difference is better construction and weled seams so they do not catch on the ladder as easily. And much stronger material.

Kurt, Give me a call and we will get you the new cover to check out for yourself.

Here is a pic of the new cover. Some of the interior seams are welded to keep them from hanging up on the ladder. It is far more durable.

It is also Tan in color compared to the gray before.

Just received mine today from Mel @ Roof-top-tent.com.

Shot of old and new. I like the old color better, it matched great!

The new one is super super thick. You can totally tell the difference.
