LOL. I'm sure that it was done so that the picture came out more clearly, wouldn't want that awesome Land Cruiser blacked out by shade!

I'm also looking for an awning to add to my trailer. The trailer is only 5 feet long and I want to keep it at that length so it keeps a snug fit. So, unless I find something else that works I am currently looking at the Shadyboy. I'll hook it up on a swivel so it can be moved around to follow the sun. Looking at something like this:

I like the way it expands bigger the it's size when packed up. If there are similar awnings out there I'd appreciate a heads up on them.

I have a wrap around Supa-wing awning from Supa-peg in Australia.
The great thing is the design to stay up in wind or rain and does not need ropes to hold it down (but they can be added for severe conditions). It is made from heavy canvas and the base of the poles have a flat piece with holes to be pegged down to the ground. The top of the poles have a bent hook to hold the canvas from lifting up. I have had it up in fairly stormy conditions overnight and so far never lifted off. If it is going to be very windy, I can lower all the poles height to limit wind lift and aid rain runoff, then put ropes and big pegs on the corners, but so far have not used them.

I really like that one! Just need to figure out if I can get it in Canada somehow....

This is the one I have. I also got a side and rear mesh and solid canvas wall to cut the wind or rain. Also a mosquito mesh room will fit under the rear or side for protection from biting things.
