Beware of flippers

BAT is no longer fun. It used to be my favorite site to check out and the local craigslist finds they would post were the best. Now everything on BAT is a flip... I mean everything! Kinda sad. Still cool cars are posted but there are no deals to be found on there anymore. EDIT: I will just remind everyone this is my humble opinion.

To end this (from my perspective) on a humorous and apropos note: http://www.dailyturismo.com/2018/02/ls1-6-speed-monster-1991-volvo-940-wagon.html

"Remember that Yoshifab V8 Volvo wagon that sold on ebay for something reasonable and then kept showing back up being sold by flipper(s) looking for a quick profit? Yeah. Beat the flippers to this next beasty and pick it up for a reasonable asking price before it ends up on some auction site that is frequented by high rollers."

Reading between the lines, I think we know which auction site they are referring to :)

Their "manifesto" is a must read. I've been following them on and off for years. Good core group of people.

I also like that they have a cap of $20,000 give or take on any car they write about.

My biggest issue with the sale of the TReK was that they used the previous owner's pictures to help with the sale. That seemed shady.

I've just realized now why some classified posters delete everything after their car sells (not that this will outright prevent this). I'd agree that's in poor taste.
