Apologies in advance...

I saw this picture and could only think of one thing... hopefully someone here other than me will know this so I can avoid a socially awkward moment. On topic - many great pictures here!

You know that Johnny Werzner kid - the kid who delivers papers in the
neighborhood? He's a fine kid. Some of the neighbors say he smokes
crack, but I don't believe it. Anyway, for his 10th birthday, all he
wanted was a burrow owl, just like his old man. "Dad, get me a burrow
owl. I'll never ask for anything else as long as I live". So the guy
breaks down and buys him a burrow owl. Anyway at 10:30 the other night I
go out into my yard and there's the Werzner kid looking up in the tree. I
said, "What are you looking for?" He said, "I'm looking for my burrow
owl." I say, "Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick! Everybody knows that a
burrow owl lives in a hole in the ground! Why the hell do you think they
call it a burrow owl, anyway?!"

My dog found this little guy on our morning walk, the pipe he's in is only about 4in.

I sat watching this young Osprey fishing the other day and the only reason I think it was a young Osprey, was it dove 3 seperate times and never came up with any fish

I've been trying for a few years now to snap a shot of a bird coming out of the water with a fish in its talons, and this time I thought I was going to grab it, but who would have guessed I find a bird that cat fish:)

We both went home hungry that night

There is a place near my house where some Crested Caracara(mexican eagle) like to hang out. I have been meaning to get out there and try to photograph them. Hopefully I will soon.

That's a nice Golden FJR Colorado! Those are probably my favorite Birds of Prey!

Thanks Pat

That is from Park County, CO (i.e. "South Park"). I have a cabin up there and Goldens are pretty common. Here is that same Golden dive-bombing off the telephone pole after some vermin...

I agree, very cool birds. Love Goldens.

Great new photos from everyone!

Here's a an owl taking a little break. My dog was yapping at him, but he never moved.
