Road Trip!!!
Well I had big plans to go on a month long road trip, hitting up Utah, Colorado and much more. It was partly why I built the Xj... Well I ended up going on a smaller version of this road trip due to work... and took my friends TJ! It took us 7 days to go from Ontario --> Alberta. Checking out all the sites in the USA.
My friend started by driving to Ontario (from Alberta) to visit family. I flew over and we drove back through the USA. Probably just under 10,000km (6,000miles) total but about 5,000km (3,100miles) on the way back.
The TJ preformed well, nothing was really done ahead of time (just your basic fluid changes). We did install a flex a lite fan before leaving... which gave us some trouble but it works fine now. We had the front drive shaft give up halfway through... we had heard the "angry sparrows" prior but didnt have a chance to rebuilt it. We just took it out (in a Wyoming Walmart parking lot!) and put it in the back seat.
We hit up
Badlands National Park, South Dakota
Black Hills National Park, South Dakota
Thunder Basin National Grassland, Wyoming
Big Horn National Forest, Wyoming
Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming/Montana
Glacial National Park, Montana
Here are some photos of the adventure:
Ontario
Riding the Redneck Roller Coaster Dave's Farm

Toledo, Ohio... Jeep Factories
1880 Town... Sweet Grand Wagoneer
Beartooth Highway, Custer National Forest, Montana/ Wyoming.
Little did we know that we would be going all the way up to the top (to the snow in this first photo). This was definitely a highlight. Big thanks going out to the people at Expedition Portal for giving us the idea to check this one out. It was a couple hour drive... all the way up to 11,000 ft. Kinda out there, not to many tourists. Definitely one of my favorite highways.
Photos really dont do it justice.
a expedition rig from France we saw in Yellowstone. It was a little hard to communicate as neither of us were very fluent in french. Shortly after this we saw a Jeep JK Earthroamer... I didnt have my camera ready!
We visited AEV in Missoula, Montana. Unfortunately it was a Saturday and they were closed.
Here is Petersons 4 wheel JK on a Dodge Mega Cab Frame..diesel.

They had a couple brutes, J8's etc.
Glacier National Park. Neat drive but way way more people than Beartooth highway... not quite as stunning either.
Cooler roads but the mountains just don't compare with the Alberta/BC Rockies.
