Trail Monkey: the gpx file should be garmin compatible?

Lance: of course there is room we were saving a spot special for ya.

I've updated the first post to reflect those who have confirmed, how many in their party and at what stop they are meeting us. Also threw my cell phone in there for emergency/oh crap I'm running late, please don't leave without me purposes.

Currently there are no fire restrictions in any area of AZ except for Tonto and Prescott (May 14th).

Weather right now is looking to be mid-high 80's during the day and in the 50's at night...beautiful!

I will check in with these conditions next week and update everyone.

I was curious if anyone was interested in stopping in at the National Monument...we will pretty much be passing by the turn off for it on our way in and I know we have some kids in the group so I wanted to leave it up for a group vote. Check out the website and we can leave it up for a vote when we hit Wilcox. I know there will be a lot of highway driving the first half of Saturday so this might be a good place to stop and have lunch, or we all my be anxious to hit dirt so we can skip it and keep on going. There is a $5 per person fee, so keep that in mind.

If anyone has the time for hike, drive to top of the monument and hike down to Heart of the rocks or really any of the high trails. The trails take you through some amazing rock formations and views. :punk03:

Looks like we have a full crew for this run, as everyone has confirmed. I have sent a message to the ranger district down there to find out about any neat super secret camping areas. One thing we have going for us is the fact that even though its a holiday weekend, all but a few of the organized campgrounds are to the southeast off different roads in a totally different area. We will also be doing dispersed camping if possible so that will help.

Does everyone have a CB? Please post up if you DO NOT...this will be important. We have one extra that can be loaned out if needed.

If anyone has any questions or concerns please post them up, and remember we will be taking a national monument vote!
