James and Bobby it was great to meet both of you, thanks for coming out. Jame you missed all the fun yesterday and today, too bad the Taco wasn't working right for you but it was probably a good thing you headed down the mountain. I hope you get it all fixed soon!!!

Pics to come!

Heidi, Josh, Mike, James, and everybody else on the OTHER forum, you guys rock. Although my little XJ was bombarded by FJs, I had a blast!

Great pics! Bobby, you are welcome on any run of ours, and as I've said before its always refreshing to hang with something other than a group of FJ's! Hopefully next time we can have more of an EXPO turnout!! :safari-rig:

Pics coming soon....

Thx Heidi and Josh for planning a nice trip. Sorry we had to drop out early for some mechanical issues. Eventually we got those sorted out. Had a bad relay under the drivers dash, i must have kicked it with my foot and the cover fell off, damaging the relay. That caused all sorts of electrical problems. Then when i transfered fuel on Sat night, i over filled my primary tank a bit. this caused a fuel/vapor problem in the injection system which eventually cleared itself up.

Dont think i would have figured that one out with out speaking with Scott Brady and getting his past experience on the issue..

Again nice group of folks..! Chiricahua's are very sweet..

More pictures! :lurk:

What did everyone think of the Chiri's? Where did you end up camping and did you get to explore the Hilltop mine? Was the area very crowded on the holiday weekend?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I got to use our winch and show my newbness all at the same time. Tram-lining trees is bad mmmkay.. (rear diff nicely stuck on tree trunk) Glad I got to learn that lesson on soft wood.

Mike having some fun on our dead end "impassible" road we did a precheck on. Forest service had considered it washed out and closed. I tended to agree with them. Mike shows us that nothing is impassible!

I'm the ONLY one who saw a bear on our way out. Never seen one in the wild myself. We actually did see quite a bit of wildlife though. Definitely a good trip for wildlife spotting

Funny story about this little "town" we passed on a really fun loop Mike took us on. Right as we passed this sign a Green Day song ended with "Welcome to Paradise". I mean RIGHT as we passed this sign. I was much more excited about this coincidence than Heidi was though. =)

The only picture of "wildlife" I was able to get. Everything else moves too fast! moooooooooooooooo
