Just updating this thread. I finally had a chance to really test my pop with a long trip to the San Juan mountains in Colorado. The handling on the highway was excellent, even on high winds, it tracked well and no sway at all. Off-road I took it to the Bandora mine where we camped the first night and went through Stony Pass and that gnarly road from Pole Creek to the Rio Grande Reservoir. The hitch worked well, both with the jam nuts loose or tightened. The only issue I see, is because the hitch is straight, the trailer doesn't sit level, it nose dives a little. Although I didn't notice adverse effects due to it, I'll give it some thought and try to find a solution.
