Decent 110's

There's no problem with it at all...just that I don't have the 109 done yet ;)

Okay, I admit it...the "problem" with the 90 is that it lives in Des Moines. Why in blazes do I have these things and live in the middle of Iowa!?

Ha- I hear you. Keep the 90SW as it is-that is a sweet rig. Keep this in mind-you're a heck of a lot closer to places like Utah and AZ than I am here in NC!

Funny thing...a friend is being transferred just outside Charlotte. Google maps tells me that its only 140 miles or so further there than it is to Moab!?

Sorry buddy, I think I'll head west instead :)

Well if you decide to trek east let me know so I can introduce you to NC BBQ.

90 --> 110 conversion is a lot easier than a resto on a beat up ROW 110.

frame, rear tub, roof, roof sides, middle doors, fuel tank, rear axle, drive shaft, pipes and wires ....

Done.

Thanks for all the replies. It seems there are a lot of options out there. I am not quite ready to buy one (have to sell my truck first) but am planning to get or order one this year. Looks like I have a lot of research to do for options and what not. I'll keep progress posted.

Has anyone had first hand experience with any of the places suggested?

Im also an importer and am based out of the Raleigh/Durham area. I can either set you up for a 110 in your budget (and a nice one!) or I would be happy to offer guidance and advice on the import process. And no, I don't charge for advice... :)

The OP has a budget of $ 20,000 and wants a restored 110.

I know Julian, Doug, Aaron, Chuck and few others a GREAT at finding good 110, but no way a restored 110 in US soil for 20 large.

Now a nice 109 diesel , sure

just my $ 0.02

Well, I did say that I would like something that is either restored or doesn't have much corrosion.....but maybe I should rephrase...I would like a referbished 110, 109 or one that doesn't have much corrosion and runs well. I suppose "restored" would be out of my price range. It will be driven on trips like they are designed for and will not be taking it to any shows. I want to travel in it.

Contact any of the aforementioned suspects, I am sure they will find you something that fits within your parameters.

I know Doug, Aaron and Chuck have some samples in US soil, and certainly Keith / Julian can get you something accross the pond
