I read this and start to cry, for I miss my little girl at home. I have been working out of town for three weeks. You have one little beautiful girl. Love every moment with her before she is all grown up.

Thanks for sharing this. I got the opportunity to take my daughters out to Colorado, and then the Kokopelli trail in July. I know that for both me and my 12 year old, it was a trip we will always remember.

Thanks for your post. Among other trips, when my daughter was 3-5, I took her on fishing/canoe trips in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, and then when she was 7 we did a month-long cross-country trip. She is now 36, and we still talk about those trips.

This sort of commitment (albeit selfish on the parent's part) can be the basis for shaping and connecting lives over the long haul!

Thanks,

John

P.S. Tam and I enjoyed our lunch together with Scott in Prescott just before we left for Guatemala and Panama last Jan.

Daddy daughter trip

I love this thread man, my daughter and I adventure together a lot, and have since she was born (she is now 9) and this summer we are going up through Utah and Colorado for 15 days. I actually searched long and hard to find a nice FZJ Landcruiser to build up as our family expedition vehicle.

THis kind of thing NEVER gets old.
