Oh mama...nice!!!
I would take a 5.0l world ranger any day
What? You were expecting a diesel with a stick shift?
I wish they would just enter a Trophy Truck in the Dakar and be done with it
Of course, a TrophyTruck wouldn't be Expo-worthy because:
I always thought mixing the two disciplines was cool.
I totally agree.
And, of course, a bit of tongue-in-cheek for the ExPo crowd.
I am sure it will be just a race car with a Ford Ranger skin over it - just like the Mini's.Actually, using a built-up engine that comes stock in the Ranger of been cooler.
And here I thought the stumpy bed Tacomas were bad...
Robbie Gordon's Hummer is pretty close to a Trophy Truck mechanically, and while he has won many stages he has always had mechanical difficulties at the Dakar.I wish they would just enter a Trophy Truck in the Dakar and be done with it
Of course, a TrophyTruck wouldn't be Expo-worthy because:
1) Built in North America, not Japan or Australia
2) Two wheel drive with IFS
3) Gasoline pushrod V8s, no diesel
4) Automatic transmission, no manual
5) Tires are wider than stock (!), and 75 series (not 85s or 100s)
6) Cali-lean, front of truck is higher than rear
7) No winch
8) No RTT
9) Not a single ARB product (not one!)
10) Too wide to be container shipped
