Holy crap! I searched several times, and never saw a listing for 10.5x15 Duratrac's. Clearly, my Google-**** is lacking.

Metric tires are definitely more expensive in comparison.

For example...
Goodyear wrangler Duratrak (33X10.50R15C1 114Q W) = $215/tire
Goodyear wrangler Duratrak (LT315/75R16E2 127Q B) = $251/tire

Thats a lot of extra $$ especially when you buy 4-5 tires.

315 mm is about 12.4 inches so closer to 12.5 than 10.5, so the LT315/75R16 Duratrac ($247@tirerack.com) is like a 35x12.5R15 (not available in GY Duratrac per GY's website or tirerack.com)

Sorry nwoods, It doesn't appear that 33x10.5R15 is available in the Goodyear Duratrac.

As side note, I don't think metric tires are always more expensive. Take the 31" size for instance in Duratrac @tirerack.com 31x10.5R15 is $156/tire and the LT245/75R16 is $155/tire.

It looks like i have quite a few options to consider. Id really like to get my hands on a set of 15x7 stockers just for the mean time. Ive been looking for a set of since the day i picked it up but local wrecking yard inventory is quite lacking and craigslist listings in my area are more or less for the 3rd gen montys.

Im also now wondering if 33's might be a little too much tire to be practical for my needs which, for most of the calender year at least, will be on road.

decisions, decisions....lol

It's an old thread but this ride was greatly helpful in giving me the basic idea what my gen 2.5 will be like. Picked it up 2 weeks ago and put black wheels with 31" tires on it. I had a 95 which I put 245/75-16's on and loved the look and function off and on road which I sold 1 week before getting this one. Both are white haha I'll make a build thread soon.
