Give up my Cummins for a big block Suburban?

In my mind you would be better to get a third vehicle if possible, older toyota 4runners go in the $3000-6000 and you could use that to go 4x4-ing a bit. keep the big dodge for projects.

take it from me buying an old Chevy truck will not be cheap. Still cheaper then a new truck tho. If you haul a lot of junk around buy a quad cab truck. Suburbans are great but not great for hauling dirty junk around.

Paid $3500 cash for my suburban, after about 3 months of driving it I had to install a new engine $3000 and that's me doing all the work. Then rebuilt springs and new shocks, $1200, new exhaust $675. And 2 steering boxs and 2 power steering pumps. and new brakes in the front. I'm close to $10000 into this thing, But shes my baby and working on her so far has been a load of fun. After i get moved soon I'll be pulling the transmission and transfer case for a refresh.
