b) I have AAA+ coverage (no towing)
The AAA+ Trip Interruption plan should reimburse you for the hotel, too. IIRC. I had a broken alternator once going through Stockton :-( and they paid for the Holiday Inn we walked to from PepBoys.

Zowie! Looks like my typical jeep diagnosis of slave, master or clutch line was off by a mile. Better hang a black cat bone around your neck brother. Like you said, of all the places it could've happened, Lady Luck has been pretty kind.
One thing that is always in my ExPo kit and may be added to the bug out bag is a bottle of Tapatio...corn flakes just wouldn't be the same :0

Ok.. Just got a call from Presicion Toyota. Ouch...

Joe-
It's sounds like you are adapting and are about to overcome quite well. This suggests that the exploration part of the journey should be most successful. Our friends with Disabled Explorers would be most proud.

Joe just a heads up on a few things. Between Pensacola and Tallahasee the troopers are tuff. It's one of 2 hilly parts of Fl and they love to hide out.

Second when you are just past tallahasee take exit 217 that is st rd 59 go south to hwy 27 and make a left. This will take you down to the town of Chiefland where you can hang a left again to stay on hwy 27 and hit I-75 south. This is a state road that rolls real well. It is a much nicer drive then I-10 to I-75 and it will save you time and gas $. I used to drive to Pensacola and Tallahasee quarterly and this is the fastest route.

My property is off of I-75 at exit #265 Fowler ave (busch gardens exit) go east 1/4 mile and my shop Canoe Escape is on the right you will see red canoes out front. My home is 2 exits north so if you need a place to crash on the way down or up let me know it is never to late to stop in. My house is a bit of a revolving door so I'm used to late night arrivals. I'll pm you my #.

I hope you will atleast pop off the highway so I can see the trailer hopefully a few others will come out as well.

Thanks for the heads up.. There always seems to be one are of heavy "cruiser" traffic.. When I was in NY it was I90 south of Buffalo till you got past Erie, PA.. Always heavy hats in the area.

In AZ they're always between Phx and Tucson. Yesterday even though I only got about 400 miles from the house I saw at least 8 cars south of Phx to Marana.. Then I saw at least 4 more cars east of Tucson until I found the witch doctor in my car.. Must been the RC Toyota Tacoma my Horizon had planted with Tyre pliers in it...

Is it safe at 10 over?? I'm usually safe in that in my truck.. Now if I had the 08 Box. That's another story.. Mandy's sure to chime in on that one.. (oh yeah for those of you that have met her she's (mandwag). She's just seeing how great it would be to have a spot chained to my neck (funny honey)... hmmm ideas I just gave her... gotta go.

Florida send-off

While Joe is still heading east, let's start planning a proper sendoff for the return trip.

The trailer is in Fort Myers, in the good care of our friend 1speed. Who else is nearby and wants to see it? Who wants to get together to see the trailer, and wish Joe good luck as he heads home?

Not to mention Mojitos!

Congrats! And I see you threw us a bone with a SPOT location at 4:06PM. Not that you're going to be stationary for 24 hours again, but you might click the thing every 10 hours or so because when there's no new hits the old ones disappear. Actually I think the old ones disappear anyway.
