I grilled a bunch of hot dogs for a group of friends the other day. Three different people asked about the hot dogs I used, stating that they were very tasty. I usually use Hebrew National, but this time I was using a brand I'd never used before... Kirkland brand franks by Costco! They are advertised as all beef with only fresh USDA Choice or better cuts, gluten free, and without fillers, binder, phosphates, corn syrup, artificial color or artificial flavors. Tasted pretty good, though I found them a bit on the salty side and not as good as Hebrew National... reasonably priced though. Of course, they are from a warehouse store so ya gotta by a pack of 752 d*mn hot dogs!* Allegedly they are made for Costco by J & B Foods in Texas.

I see Nathan's mentioned several times here, but nothing specific about the cased version vs. their "skinless" ones.
Nathan skinless I find are very forgettable (prefer Hebrew National over any of them), but Nathan's with the casings?!? Wow! Heaven on a bun!!!! :Wow1:

Cased Nathan's are a bit hard to find though (at least here on the West Coast). Only about 5-10% of stores carrying the brand seem to have them with the casings.
Boar's Head is another good one I find at a local Ralphs (Kroger) store, but is more $$$ and I think is no better than Nathan's.

Costco purchases can be handled with a chest freezer. :D
Seen that very package of Kirkland franks too but haven't been able to bring myself to buy one (that's a lot of franks to risk not liking them lol). Wished they would hand out samples like they do but so far no luck.

For me, nothing beats a Bozo hot dog. Small chain based in Chicago with locations only in the Midwest; almost all of them in Illinois.
