Looks like a bantam trailer, new axle, tongue and get rid of the dog house and you will have a cool trailer.
I have seen these sell for 500-700 in this condition. Let the build begin.
Why would I let her get all the use out of a perfectly good find it would be such a waste.
Last year in November I took the other way home and saw a neighbor cleaning up leaves with a vac system attached to this trailer. I offered him the 275 he paid and he could keep the vac system. He said no but come back after the leaves were up. I stopped by last week and talked to him and offered the 275 again he said he liked trades better and asked if I had an axel and steel. I gave him the axel and coupler from a wrecked snowmobile trailer and 20 sticks of the 1x1 pictured above.
I took a closer look at it before work no data plate to be foun but the tub seems to be solid.
I dropped off the last of the material to finalize the trade after work today.
my daughter has been asking for a week to go to my parents and ride her 4 wheeler so I hooked one of the fleet up to the jeep and went.
I have to go out of town the next 3 days so I will not have time to work on either trailer. I will get the quote for the box for the trailer build next Tuesday and I'm pretty excited about finding out how much it will be.
I got my quote today for the tub and lid in post #45 its more than I want to spend and budgeted for just the tub and lid so a few additions may have to wait. I have been working on my 12v system batteries, charger and switching system on my work bench in the garage and picking up a few pieces here and there.
I have 4 trailers in my yard and I'm actively trying to thin the fleet a little.
I was asking $225.00 for the red HF trailer set up for a 125cc dirt bike in post #51 expecting to be talked down some and take the first offer over $150.00.
I may have to sell the tub in post #47 I really would be disappointed if I had to let the tub go but 2 unfinished trailers in my yard is not what I want to have at all. I could take the tub off the homemade trailer frame and hang the tub in my dads garage he has plenty of room up high. Then sell off the homemade frame for $50.00 at the junk yard.
I paid for the Tub and lid on Monday. I approved the plans today and they started cutting the metal around noon today. The wood box will come off this weekend so the frame can be dropped off for powder coat on Monday then hopefully I can pick it up next Friday.
I am still undecided about this fine tub here, unless I sell off a bunch of stuff I no longer use I wont have any funds to dedicate to the build.
I dropped off the frame yesterday and it went under the knife today to be extended 12 inches, powder coated and be fitted to the Box. It will be done by Wednesday next week and could be done as early as Friday. Maybe I can slip in the shop for build pictured tomorrow.
The axel cleaned and 5 coats of high temp paint.
Terrible set back today, work has stopped on my build due to priority projects coming into the shop. I was hoping it would be finished tomorrow but now I won't expect it for 2 weeks or more.
Seeing it set off to the side is so disappointing.
I got excited when I saw it hanging on a paint rack today!
But my hopes were dashed when I asked what time they were painting it and they said "We hung it there because it was in the way"
The frame is painted and ready to be assembled and the tin was being cut and bent but I'm still being told June for a finish date.
I tore apart the slide in camper in the back ground in post 15 and a few others and I sold some stuff off, then I spent the money on a Rotopax mount, Hi-Lift jack mount and a Spring tail Solutions TJ rear door MPAC rack. I am thinking I want a Quart Crate but I need to measure the available space in the trailer and then decide what I want it to hold. I am so ready to have the trailer in my yard again.
