That gear set looks to have been setup correct to me, I can see in one of the pics it was making good contact and wearing well. So Matt it appears you have abused that gear set one to many times!

Surprisingly quiet. Just a bang and then a constant thunk. I was hoping for a universal joint. No such luck. I have attached a couple images of a 4.43 r&p with an arb rd128 and a thrust bolted housing. These turned out very nice. If I break another like this I'll pick up a housing from GBR and run ashcrofts 3.50 gear set.

Just in case any of your jeep buddy's give you a hard time about your weak rover diffs, show them this image. Dana 30 front VS a rover type.

Its not the size that matters look at the interweb it says everywhere that jeeps rock and rover diffs suck!!

I think you should put a D 30 in there then your problems would go away.

Are you running the 4.43s or the 3.54s. ? Did you install the slipper bolt IE drill it etc. ?

These were for my friends D90. He bought the parts and I built them for him. GBR will sell a housing that has been set up for thrust bolt on exchange basis. I don't have the capability at home to do this.

Parts have arrived. I was wrong about back on the road by Friday
I did however get my project running. I installed TBI fuel injection on my buddy's fj-40.

I think its an ARB 'flange cap'.
