Thanks. We usually don't get into the poser pics too much, everyone was just in a goofy mood that morning. We put in a pretty good day the day before, ending with a Jeep on it's side at the top of a hill, caught on a tree. No injuries or damage.

I just want to take this opportunity to reiterate my feelings about the plastic moulding that is made for the FRP. I have been working all day to remove it, cut/scrape/pull all of the silicone out of the gaps, and clean up the mess so I could replace it with aluminum angle. Stay away from the stuff. Silicone won't stick to it, so it was a waste of time and money. And the aluminum looks much better.

Anyway, now that I'm off my soap box, we did make some progress today. Got the rest of the plastic on the back, got the door covered and trimmed out. I'll get a few pics tomorrow afternoon when we stop. REMEMBER - FRP moulding - just say NO.

Got a little more done this weekend. Only had one day to work, and had to shut down early for a fish fry. Darn catfish just had to bite...

Finally got the exterior sealed back up, and the door trimmed out. May hold on the camper for a while, I have to make some mods to the Jeep to get ready for Colorado. Most importantly is the fuel tank. Right now it has a 10 gallon fuel cell behind the back seat. Aside from killing the back of the Jeep for storage, it's going to make for a really long trip if I have to stop for gas every 150 miles. I think I can build a 28 gallon tank, and regain some real estate at the same time. Anyway, here are some new pics.

Love it the way you just park up on the beach! We would have our motor towed if we tried it.

Just received an amusing phone call. On the way back from the beach, we had a fund raising event for Wheelers for the Wounded. Long story short, I hit the RTI ramp as we were leaving, and pulled a 1226, with the trailer in tow (I was pulling about 1000 when I first bought the Jeep). My buddy just called, we won a second place trophy. First place beat me by 50 points.

Dressed it up a bit this weekend, it looks a bit more like a camper now.

Only one more weekend to prepare for Ouray, trying to get organized this weekend. Got the floor covered, and the bed stowed for loading and travel.

Awesome build. Great idea using the slide out concept like a pick up. Wonder if I can get wife to let me sell the pop up and go this route:Wow1:

Nice work.

Thanks. I'm hoping this is easier than a pop up, not having to set up at night and tear down in the morning and all. Also, this gives me more room for gear than a pop up.

Trailer did great, 65-70 mph most of the trip, 75 some. Tracked great, no sway. I have a few things to change/add before the next big trip, namely dry storage underneath so I don't have to unload to get to the bed.
