I think you'll find that the frequency of the trans issues has gone down significantly. IMO, FCA bit off more than they could chew with a new 9-sp trans that has terrain selection, 2WD, 4WD, low range, locking diffs, hill decent control, and manual shift options. To their credit, they didn't give up on it and are close to being fully debugged. The intended situations are fine and mechanically, it appears to be very solid. In watching the reviews of the '15 model year, the trans is rarely mentioned unless they found themselves doing something unusual, and the trans did something unusual. Not once have I seen a reviewer stopped because of the trans. It's really just hunting for a gear or slow shift complaint.
