Just got back from my road trip to inland BC what a beautiful province, from the rainforest on Vancouver island to the desert and up 9000 ft.
I started here in Victoria to vancouver then up to Gold bridge and the ghost town of Bralorne, then I headed up to the Cariboo for 3 days.
After the cariboo I drove down to Hope and found a sweet little camp site by a river just outside of town.
The next day I got to do some gold panning in the fraser valley what a cool spot gold in every pan !
That friday I meet up with some great people from BC toyota 4wd and hit up the whipsaw trail,we did it in two days and had a awesome campsite by a lake, not a hard trail but is by far the coolest trail i've been on in BC,after whipsaw we drove up to Molybdenite mountain outside of Lillooet, BC where my truck started to overheat bad so we took off my hood to see if it made a difference..it didn't so at this point I thought the trip was over for me we were only about 2000ft up so not knowing what was wrong with my truck and having 6000ft to go I just didn't want to chance it, but then one of the guys I was with noticed my clutch fan was very weak so he tied some chicken wire around the fan and to the bolts and bam just like that no more overheating in fact I drove the whole way up with the AC on full (my dog was over heated)
The top of the trail was absolutely terrifying and gave me anxiety the whole way up but was worth the half a heart attack I had, once we hiked to the top it was 9000ft ! what a view and a amazing way to end my road trip, that night we camped just above a lake at 7000ft with a view to die for
