Just anther 3rd gen 4runner.

I got bored tonight so I got some wood and built a bed in the runner,I'm not so good with wood being a sheet metal fabricator I've never really used wood for anything but its functional.

My favorite trails were all closed do to extreme fire risk :( but I found a spot (what I would call a super easily trail) about 6k long good enough to test the 4wd and suspension, even got to test the diff lock.
I drove about 200 km on pavement and 150 km of dirt roads and what trails I could find to test everything and see what needs to be done before my road trip this summer all and all I'm very impressed with this 4runner and looks like its good to go.
I'll be hitting up some ghost towns and old mines around BC in 2 weeks then ending the trip at the Whipsaw trail with a group of guys from BCtoyota4x4 on the 31st and 1st should be a awesome trip ! I'll post pic here after.

Just got back from my road trip to inland BC what a beautiful province, from the rainforest on Vancouver island to the desert and up 9000 ft.
I started here in Victoria to vancouver then up to Gold bridge and the ghost town of Bralorne, then I headed up to the Cariboo for 3 days.
After the cariboo I drove down to Hope and found a sweet little camp site by a river just outside of town.
The next day I got to do some gold panning in the fraser valley what a cool spot gold in every pan !
That friday I meet up with some great people from BC toyota 4wd and hit up the whipsaw trail,we did it in two days and had a awesome campsite by a lake, not a hard trail but is by far the coolest trail i've been on in BC,after whipsaw we drove up to Molybdenite mountain outside of Lillooet, BC where my truck started to overheat bad so we took off my hood to see if it made a difference..it didn't so at this point I thought the trip was over for me we were only about 2000ft up so not knowing what was wrong with my truck and having 6000ft to go I just didn't want to chance it, but then one of the guys I was with noticed my clutch fan was very weak so he tied some chicken wire around the fan and to the bolts and bam just like that no more overheating in fact I drove the whole way up with the AC on full (my dog was over heated)
The top of the trail was absolutely terrifying and gave me anxiety the whole way up but was worth the half a heart attack I had, once we hiked to the top it was 9000ft ! what a view and a amazing way to end my road trip, that night we camped just above a lake at 7000ft with a view to die for

I got a lot of video too but I can't get my gopro studio to work :( as soon as I have some time and get it working Ill post a small movie of the trip.
I was super impressed with the old 4runner for only owning it for a couple weeks before I left,It did very well with the only problem being the clutch fan and whipsaw did a number on my sway bar bushing and sway bar links hahaha I also cooked the brakes...but it got me just under 3000kms and then got me home safe and sound for a truck with 380000 km !! great truck, great people and a awesome trip !

Great pics and awesome scenery man! Looks like the Runner was kicking *** on the trails, I'm always surprised at what they can do basically stock.

So I been thinking of getting a flat roof rack, but still being out of work I thought Id go through the shop and see if I could build one, well that went tits up when I realized my brother had cleaned out the shop when I was away...So I started looking at the surco basket on my truck.
Then this happened.

Then I moved my light bar to the front, I really like the clean low profile look of the rack and it's still just as functional, also it feels better on the highway.
As always my dog was helping out haha.
