cheers

I've been mulling over possible projects, everything from a Wrangler/Disco/LC 80/100 with a roof tent and interior mods to Fuso FG, and I keep coming back to building a custom cap over the standard pickup bed as being the most cost effective and flexible. A lot of very good ideas here.

Thanks Graham.

They originate from this site? The yellow extended-end version is there. Click the "Rear-End Extensions" link on the right side of the page. I've favored the pop top 'standard' version ever since I saw the orange here in a couple of different threads, but didn't have the patience to do more extensive research on it. Accidentally found the English translation of Tom´s Fahrzeugtechnik site tonight...

At Overland Expo I was mentioning to the Owner of Ursa Minor the makers of the Honda Element E-Camper that they should consider making an e-camper 60 or 80 series... I think it would be a great idea.

Apparently I am not the only one who has mentioned this "grand" idea to him :D. If I had Photoshop skills I would have tried to "go there"...

That is my 60 parked behind it.

That would make me really happy. See new signature line for specifics :victory:

Now that the Element no longer comes with a sunroof in any version, I'm wondering what direction Ursa Minor will be taking. I have an AWD Element with a sunroof, my wife and I thought about the poptop but decided that we had the 80 for camping so it didn't make much sense. I know we'd seriously consider one for the 80 if the price was in line with what the Element version goes for. We had a Westy Vanagon and loved the poptop, hated the waterboxer engine.

I think that for now John (Ursa Minor) is sticking to the Honda Element, but sooner or later he will get enough requests to expand the product line... maybe 80 owners should prepare a petition and get as many signatures as possible. That would be hilarious if nothing else.

We considered a Synchro Westy with a Subaru WRX engine for our trip, but the guy was selling for almost 40 G's! Sweet ride.
