Work Ethic...an endangered species...
I don't know what has happened to work ethic, but since I no longer have my own shop and am having to hire out others to do the work, I am astounded by the shortcuts and excuses people give.
Most recent of many examples: I contacted a local glass company to install the new front windshield. No worries, decent price and they would go down to
Off-Road Connection and replace it while she waits to get into the shop. I go down this weekend to check on the progress, and while the new windshield looks great, there is no rubber trim inside or outside the glued in glass. I text the installer about weather stripping and he informs me that was the old style..the new style is just glue in with no trim. I call BS...it looks horrible. :yikes: I have no clue how I am going to get the T-molding in now, but I will figure out something. I also need the rubber on the pinch seam in the inside. I might have to get this new windshield removed (hopefully not broken in the process) install the pinch seam rubber, have it re-installed, and insert the T-molding before windshield sealant/adhesive cures.
On a good note, received all my new Jeep fender and Rubicon hood emblems, in black of course, and will be installing those on my next trip out to visit her. Still waiting on the smoked out fender and marker lights. Those should look sweet!
