We're Back!

What a great time, hated to head the truck back home. While you others were driving home Sunday, we went with James and crew and explored the Otter Creek Wilderness and found some great hiking trails. Saw two bears, a momma and a cub right at the camp site this morning as we were packing up. I was in my usual bear sigthing spot, sitting on the latrine bucket when momma bear walked past the pop up enclosure.

I'd like to thank Scott's trailer and Cabelas kitchen, Doug's trailer and RTT, and Jimbo's water tank for making the trip. Michelle now see's the "need" for a trailer to pull behind the LJ though now I've got to build a water tank unit. YESSS!!!

Oh, thanks to the people who showed up, what a great group of people:
*Jay, Debbie and Sammy
*Mitch, Marie and Fang
*Scott, Copper and Tristan
*Doug and Vicky
*James, Elizabeth, Chris and Maddy
*Ma Bear, Baby Bear, and that annoying buck that kept stomping around the campsite last night snorting his displeasure at us.
*Honorable mention to Chris and Al, we missed you guys and wished you were there. You should have been able to feel your ears burning 'cause you were mentioned a few times around the fire and over the CB. We need to take a run together before the weather gets bad!

Lets see, we wheeled, ate, explored, ate, caved, ate, swam, ate,BSed, and ate. Mission Accomplished! Scott, we're still waiting for those danger close pizza drops.

Aside from the critters I'm looking forward to meeting up in the woods some other time with these folks, again what a fun bunch of people. Well thats it for now. Got to unpack, pics later!

We got in last night...great time!

Will post some pictures as time allows. Mark, we saw the cub on our way out but he would not wait for the camera. Never spotted Mama, which was the unnerving part. Mama bears are like Chuck Norris.

We got in yesterday afternoon. Got unpacked, fed and crashed. Just got back from work today, currently working on fixing "the curse of MON '08".

Meaning:
The AC quit in the house Tuesday as we were packing the truck- fixed; the AC guy just left.

Shopping for a new camera- a slight mishap at Bear Rocks on Thursday left us with a less than useable camera.

Gotta fix the airline on my OBA yet - the system made a really cool sound when the 150psi hose burst and depressurized the tank while driving down a gravel road.

Lastly, shopping for a new GPS, seems the Magellan gave up the ghost on Sunday. It's giving really weird readings and won't connect to satellites.

Other than that we had a really great time! It was a pleasure to meet everyone, and oh, the fun that ensued! The camp on the Canaan Loop was nearly perfect. I'm really glad a spring was nearby, we went through 84 gallons of water over the week!

Can't wait to do this again! Like everyone else I will post the few pics I have when I get the chance.

Thanks again to everyone involved!
